To register your interest in an Action Group to look at options for the future use of the building, scan the QR code on the consultation leaflet or download and print a copy of the registration form below, complete it, and deliver it to the Village Hall.
The Annual Parish Meeting takes place in the Village Hall on Wednesday 22 May. The Parish Council, the Village Hall Management Committee, and representatives from village groups and organisations will report on their recent activities and plans for the future.
Doors open at 7.00 and tea and coffee will be served on arrival. The event starts at 7.30pm. Follow the link below for further details.
At the March meeting of the Council, Andrew Clark and Kate Humphris were co-opted onto the Council to fill the vacancies resulting from the resignations of Cllrs Freeman and Jones.

Two vacancies have arisen on the Parish Council following the resignations of Councillors Duncan Freeman and Ed Jones. For further details, see the Notices of Vacancy below.
No election was called in respect of these vacancies, so the Parish Council intends to co-opt two new Councillors at its meeting on Tuesday 12 March. Anyone interested in applying for consideration for these positions should submit a brief written statement outlining their relevant knowledge, skills and experience, their reasons for wanting to become a Councillor and what they hope to achieve in the role. Statements must be submitted to the Clerk no later than Thursday 7 March.

Nominations have closed for the forthcoming local council elections. Three valid nominations were received for Newton-in-the-Isle Parish Council, so there will be no contested election and those nominated will be elected unopposed. Four vacancies remain to be filled by co-option, so anybody interested in finding out more about the work of the Parish Council and the role of a Councillor should contact the Clerk before the end of April.
Elections will be held on Thursday 4th May for all Parish and Town Councils in Fenland, including all seven seats on Newton-in-the-Isle Parish Council if more than seven valid nominations are received.
The Parish Council’s new website has been created with features designed to make the content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities. We hope you’ll find it easy to navigate. After a lifetime of public service, John Hoyles has retired from his position on the Parish Council. John has served as a Councillor for more than 40 years and was a popular and long-standing Chairman, whose wit and wisdom will be missed by his fellow Councillors.

The Parish Council has obtained a mobile vehicle-activated sign to monitor traffic speeds around the village. The sign will be moved between a number of designated locations, so look out for it as you drive around and make sure you don’t exceed the limit.
